This in an excellent opportunity to join a world renowned shipping company based in Aberdeen.
We have an urgent requirement for a Marine Superintendent so an immediate start is preferred.
The Marine Superintendent is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of an assigned fleet of offshore support vessels, including Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs), Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs), and Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs). The role ensures vessels operate in accordance with international regulations, flag state requirements, company management systems, and client expectations while maintaining high standards of safety, environmental protection, operational performance, and crew competence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day marine operations of the assigned offshore fleet.
- Ensure vessels are operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Monitor vessel performance, operational readiness, and availability.
- Provide operational support and technical guidance to Masters and senior officers.
- Review passage plans, risk assessments, and marine operational procedures where required.
- Assist in preparing and managing operational budgets

Ensure compliance with: SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM, ISPS, MLC, Flag State and Port State requirements
Requirements
- Master Mariner (Unlimited Certificate of Competency) or equivalent marine qualification.
- Extensive seagoing experience as Master or Chief Officer on offshore support vessels (PSV, OSV, ERRV).
- Previous shore based experience managing PSVs, OSVs, and/or ERRVs. (Desirable)
- Thorough knowledge of offshore vessel operations.
- Strong understanding of international maritime legislation and offshore industry requirements.
- Dynamic Positioning (DP) certification (Desirable)
- ISM Lead Auditor qualification.
- Experience conducting vessel inspections and audits.
