The Executive Chef leads all shipboard galley operations, ensuring excellence in food quality, hygiene, guest satisfaction, and team development. This role combines operational oversight, strategic planning, and leadership to deliver a modern luxury dining experience aligned with the cruise companies values.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily galley operations and ensure food quality across all outlets (main galley, specialty restaurants, buffet).

Maintain compliance with public health standards (e.g., USPH), sanitation, and safety procedures.

Lead pre-service inspections, tastings, and ensure timely food preparation and service.

Monitor food cost, inventory, and staffing to achieve financial and operational targets.

Resolve guest concerns and engage with passengers during service periods.

Develop, coach, and evaluate culinary staff to maintain high performance and morale.

Promote Celebrity’s brand culture, standards, and leadership principles onboard.
Leadership & Development

Train and mentor crew, ensuring brand standards are met.

Requirements
Qualifications

Culinary degree required.

Minimum 5 years of executive chef experience in upscale hospitality or cruise environment.

Proven track record in food quality, leadership, cost control, and guest satisfaction.

Strong communication, conflict resolution, and computer skills.

Fluent English (spoken and written).
Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and participate in emergency procedures.

Must be adaptable to shipboard life, long hours, and multicultural work environments.
