A leading Cruise line is looking for Aquatic Stage Staff to support the safe and professional operation of dive shows and underwater activities in the Aqua Theater
Responsibilities
Aqua Show & Diving Operations
-
Acts as a safety diver and primary communication link during Aqua Show emergencies.

Assists with show presets, strikes, and underwater prop movements.

Assembles/disassembles SCUBA gear for show duties (inspected by Aqua Cast Support Divers).

Performs underwater tasks, including:

Sharing air with performers
-
Setting flying points
-
Calling clears for lift/fly cues
-
Moving props and scenery
-
Communicating via approved hand signals or comms
-

Participates in rescue training drills.
Maintenance & Safety
-
Supports underwater maintenance, inspections, and safety checks of show gear.

Ensures all props, gear, and scenery are safely stored and secured, especially during rough seas.

Notifies leadership of any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Administrative Duties

Attends scheduled entertainment team meetings.

Keeps underwater track sheets updated and submitted to the Head Stage Staff.

Adheres to company policies and venue-specific SOPs.
Requirements
Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 completed contract as Technical Stage Staff.

2–3 years’ experience with stage equipment and prop handling.
-
Background in technical theater or live entertainment.
-
PADI Open Water Diver Certification or higher required.
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills & Competencies
-
Capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy props underwater.
-
Familiar with basic stage repairs (carpentry, painting).
-
Knowledge of SCUBA gear and diving safety standards.
-
Stays current on trends and updates in live entertainment technologies.
Physical Requirements
-
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly.

Must pass company medical evaluation.

Capable of working underwater and at varied depths.
-
Full vision, hearing, and physical mobility required for emergency duties.
Language & Communication
-
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
-
Must understand and use PADI-approved underwater hand signals.
-
Able to clearly give and follow both verbal and written instructions.
