Our client is an established project delivery business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke solutions for the Themed Attractions, Marine, Commercial Fit-Out and Specialist Joinery sectors. With an international portfolio of complex, high-value projects, they are recognised for delivering exceptional quality and innovative solutions for globally recognised customers.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Planner to strengthen their project delivery team.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.
- Develop integrated schedules covering design, procurement, production and site installation activities.
- Identify critical paths, programme dependencies and key project milestones.
- Monitor programme performance, updating schedules to reflect live project progress.
- Highlight potential delays, risks and resource conflicts while recommending practical mitigation measures.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure programme alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Generate programme reports and progress updates for management and stakeholders.
- Promote planning best practice and support continual improvement of scheduling processes.
- Assist project teams with programme optimisation to improve delivery performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Project Planning, Project Controls or Project Programming role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, or a comparable planning platform.
- Experience supporting complex engineering, manufacturing, construction or fit-out projects involving multiple workstreams.
- A good understanding of project lifecycles from design through manufacture to installation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and programme interdependencies.
- Strong communication skills with experience working alongside multidisciplinary project teams.
Desirable Experience
- PRINCE2, PMP or another recognised project management qualification.
- Exposure to resource planning and project cost monitoring.
- Experience using additional project planning or portfolio management software.
